Dickey Recognized During Final Meeting As Lawrenceburg Commissioner

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Commissioners recognized Commissioner Tim Dickey during his last meeting Thursday night.

Dickey opted not to seek reelection during the May City of Lawrenceburg Election, and sat on the board for the final time Thursday.

Mayor-elect Keith Durham, who presided over Thursday’s meeting, recognized Dickey, thanking him for his dedicated service to the city, both as a commissioner and as a member of the Lawrenceburg Utility Board. “You have made some changes that have benefited the city,” Durham stated, “and I appreciate that.”

Dickey responded, “It has been a very enjoyable and educational experience for me… I have enjoyed working with you. I just want to thank you gentlemen, the citizens, and wish everyone the best of luck.”

Thursday was also the last meeting for Lawrenceburg Mayor Allen Chapman who was absent.

Durham, who has served as commissioner for the past four years, will be sworn in as mayor during a 2:00 p.m. ceremony on Sunday, July 1, at Crockett Theater. Also being sworn in during the ceremony are commissioners-elect Jerry Moore and Robin Williams.
